We are hiring 4-5 postdoctoral researchers or PhD or Master students, and 2-3 Bachelor research interns at MoTech Research Group at the University of Sherbrooke, Quebec, Canada.
We seek passionate and qualified students and researchers to work in Prof. Tang's newly awarded Canada Research Chair Program in Electric Mobility and Intelligent Infrastructure.
The 2026/2027/2028 intake is open to all domestic and international candidates. We invite all qualified individuals to apply, in particular, underrepresented groups (e.g., women in engineering). There are three streams with details as below:

2026/2027/2028 Regular Openings: PhD, Master and Postdoc Positions
Position Descriptions:
Candidates will conduct research in one or more of the following field(s) for electric mobility, public transit, emerging transportation services and railway:
Operational research and optimization of integrated and multimodal transportation.
Quantum computing and applications in transportation and mobility systems
Empirical studies and policy implications of carbon neural transportation and emissions.
Economic analyses and behavioral modeling.
Multi-scale spatiotemporal big data analyses and machine learning predictions.
Mobility automation and robotic multi-agent algorithms.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates with relevant backgrounds are all encouraged to apply. PhD and Master students should have strong interests and motivations for transportation research. Postdoc applicants should have strong knowledge and records in the field(s).
Prior programming skills (Python and/or MATLAB and/or Java) are preferred.
